Pet Paradise named 2024 AGC Project of the Year

Tyson & Associates Construction Company (TACC) was entrusted to build the first area location of Pet Paradise, a growing national chain of premium daycare, boarding and grooming facilities, in Collegedale, Tennessee. This marks the expansion of the national chain, known for its premium daycare, boarding, and grooming services for pets. Completed in March 2024, the new facility spans 15,000 square feet and features a combination of masonry and wood construction with spread footings as well as slab-on-grade foundations.

The impact of this project on the local community has been significant, as Pet Paradise is the only facility of its kind in Southeast Tennessee, Northeast Alabama, and North Georgia. This upscale pet resort offers a variety of services including dog training, grooming, veterinary care, daycare, and boarding for both dogs and cats. The facility is equipped with multiple pet suites, synthetic-grass dog parks, and a dog bone-shaped splash pool, making it a sought-after destination for local pet owners.

Not only does this project reflect TACC's commitment to its mission, but it also highlights the company's craftsmanship and attention to detail. The unique pet retreat was named the 2024 Associated General Contractors of America’s East Tennessee Project of the Year in the $2 million to $10 million category.

TACC excelled in the management of the project by turning the project over early, controlling project cost, maintaining exceptional quality, enforcing jobsite safety, and capturing the vision of Pet Paradise for the facility. The job flowed very smoothly, with no accidents or adverse events. The partnership between Pet Paradise and TACC has continued to another facility in Pooler, Georgia scheduled to open soon.
