Tyson & Associates Construction Wins 2025 AGC Project of the Year
Tyson & Associates Construction Company (TACC) has been recognized with the 2025 Project of the Year Award from the Associated General Contractors of America East Tennessee chapter in the $2 million to $10 million category for its work on the New Athletic Facilities at Coahulla Creek High School in Dalton, Georgia.
Completed in March 2025 for Whitfield County Schools and designed by KRH Architects, the project included a new baseball and softball complex with concessions and a hitting facility, four upgraded tennis courts, the addition of a new soccer fieldhouse and renovations to the football fieldhouse.
The project was completed within an active 93-acre high school campus, requiring careful coordination around academic schedules, student activity, and multiple athletic seasons. Through strategic phasing and constant communication with project partners, TACC delivered the facilities four months ahead of schedule, allowing the owner to benefit from spring sports programs sooner than anticipated.
These improvements provide safe, multi-functional spaces that enhance each athletic program and strengthen the school’s role as a community anchor, helping establish lasting value for generations to come.
This award highlights TACC’s commitment to exhibiting quality construction and creating lasting value for the community in Northwest Georgia, while continuing to serve the Southeast Tennessee and Northeast Alabama regions.
